Welcome to my Website and blog. I’ve designed it so that we can start the process of getting to know each other better before I arrive in a few weeks at First UU Church of San Antonio to candidate as your next minister. As I mentioned in my newsletter column (and below in the March 24 entry), I hope you have a lot of questions for me when I arrive — and, let me add, I hope you will throw me your really tough ones. A vigorous and engaged conversation is the best way — one could say the only way — in the ten short days I will have with you in April to discern how to begin a future together.
In the sidebar you’ll find links for areas of my ministry, as well as information about me as a person. I’ve also included some photo essays and articles I’ve written for publication. During our time together in April we’ll have the chance to get to know each other better. It will be a busy week but I hope the work will be energizing and rewarding as we talk about your unique community, its history, and its future. There will be several events designed to provide face-to-face time with each other, and my hope is that each member of the congregation will be able to attend at least one function. It’s important that we get to know each other on both a personal and a professional level. As I lead two services for you over two Sundays, we’ll certainly get to worship together.

Several of you have already sent me messages through this site, and I appreciate them greatly. I promise to answer all the e-mails that come through, so if I don’t reply to yours, please re-send it in case my spam filter gobbled it up.
